FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- On Friday morning, three men, Amicho Mancia, Antwoine Mancia and Aaron Guery had their punishment handed down at the Fresno County Courthouse.

The judge honored a stipulated agreement; each will face 8 years in prison despite their individual criminal histories and differing roles in the crime.

"You deserve to be in prison a lot longer than you are getting, and you earned it, nothing but you," said Honorable Judge Hamilton.

On January 26 of 2025, the men posed as police officers wearing masks and vests at an apartment complex near Fresno State.

In April, Fresno police released surveillance and body camera video that clearly shows them entering by force before struggling to remove a large safe.

One of them then drove their SUV up to the front door, so they could load it in the trunk and tried getting away, but police stopped them not far away on the Fresno State campus, after an exchange that ultimately injured an officer.

The judge read an impact statement from Officer Rose, whose patrol car was hit.

"I have arrested many people in my career and looked into a lot of eyes but I have never seen pure hatred just like I did in your eyes right before impact. That crash had me spinning," read Honorable Judge Hamilton.

Those words were directed at Amicho, since he was driving.

A moment that she described as life-changing not only for her but also for her family.

In the letter, she also shared that she was about to adopt a baby and was not able to in order to recover and heal with her family.

At the end, she forgave Amicho, "I am too tired to hate you and want to focus on helping my family heal. I want my decision on your sentencing to affect your life the way your decision devastated mine. I trust the judge to do what is right."

The judge told Amicho he deserves more than 8 years, given his lengthy criminal history.

Each man is facing different charges and will be transported to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
