FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Fresno County Sheriff's Office said 19-year-old David Riggins turned himself in to authorities around 1 a.m. Thursday.

Riggins walked out of the jail on Wednesday after swapping ID bracelets with another inmate, authorities said.

Riggins was arrested two months ago for an outstanding warrant. Deputies said he didn't obey a juvenile court order and was wanted for a misdemeanor charge. That's in addition to being a registered sex offender. He was supposed to be out of jail in October of 2016.
