FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Some of the newest plug-in electric vehicles were on display in Northeast Fresno on Saturday.
The Center for Sustainable Energy brought a variety of models to Fashion Fair Mall for people to test drive. The vehicles are made by companies including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Ford and Toyota.
The first 200 test drivers also got free tacos from the Fresno Grizzlies Taco Truck Throwdown winner. The event is part of National Drive Electric Week.
Organizers hope to educate people on the benefits of electric cars, which reduce pollution and come with several rebates and tax credits.
