CHP investigates fatal accident in Selma

SELMA, Calif. (KFSN) -- One person is dead after a head-on collision in Selma. It happened near Manning and Bethel just after 5 p.m.

The California Highway Patrol says a man in his mid 40's crossed over the 20-foot dirt divider and hit a car traveling in the opposite direction. He was killed.

The man in the other car appears to be in his 70's and was taken to the hospital with major injuries.

It's too early to tell if alcohol was related.
