City leaders plan to change Grizzly Fest's venue
Grizzly Fest is now in its fourth year and organizers have plans to move it from Chukchansi Park to Woodward Park.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Grizzly Fest is now in its fourth year and organizers have plans to move it from Chukchansi Park to Woodward Park.

Last year, more than 10,000 people visited, The Chuk, to see dozens of acts perform. To accommodate the growth, organizers are making it a two-day event.

When the City Council meets on Thursday, they will decide on whether to approve a $100,000 license agreement with Grizzly Fest promoters.

The city's staff recommendation to the council is to approve the special event license.

If the event goes well the agreement also includes an option for the promoter to hold another festival at the park later in the fall.

Headliners for the May music festival include snoop dog, Nas, and Foster the People.
