Bree Morse, Miss Orange Coast, crowned Miss California

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A new Miss California was crowned Saturday at the Saroyan Theatre.

She beat out 52 other young women for the crown and a $12,000 scholarship. Bree is originally from Garden Grove and is running on the platform of Alopecia Areata, an autoimmune skin disease that results in hair loss.

The 23-year-old will now move on and represent California in the Miss America pageant in September.
