Foreign exchange student drowns at Mariposa County hotel's pool

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Authorities say a foreign exchange from Taiwan drowned in a pool Saturday night. It happened at Cedar Lodge Hotel in El Portal near Yosemite.

The Mariposa County Sheriff's Office said first responders attempted CPR but it was not successful. The 19-year-old was studying at UC Davis.

His family has been notified and authorities said an autopsy will be done this week.
