FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The drought has made air pollution worse than ever in the Central Valley, according to the American Lung Association. State officials have tried several programs to clean the air before levels rise and require serious action.
The American Lung Association says high levels of pollution reduce visibility and can cause serious health problems. If readings continue to show high levels, the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District says the state will have to discuss turning over control to the federal government by the end of the year.
