FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Fresno man was stabbed to death in broad daylight Saturday along a busy street and his killer is on the loose.
Police say it all started as a simple argument around 11 a.m. in Central Fresno, not far from the bus stop at Blackstone and Belmont. One man pulled a knife and stabbed the other man in the neck.
"After the altercation and after he got stabbed, he walked down the street several feet before he collapsed," Sgt. Glen Schafer with the Fresno Police Department explained.
The victim later died at a nearby hospital.
Investigators say the suspect ran away after the stabbing.
Police blocked off the area to look for him, but so far they haven't found him. They're not sure why the men were fighting, but say it doesn't seem to be gang related.
