1 killed, 1 injured in Planada double shooting

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Merced County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that killed one man and sent a second man to the hospital early Friday morning.

Investigators said the shooting happened around 1 a.m. Friday morning on Fancher Street near Stanford Avenue. When deputies arrived, they found two men who had been shot. Both men were airlifted to a Modesto area hospital. One man died, and the condition of the second victim is unknown at this time.

The Sheriff's office has not released the identity of the victims or information on any suspects in the case.
