2 killed in head-on crash near Millerton Lake identified

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Fresno County Coroner has identified the victims as 23-year-old Desiree Rodriguez and 54-year-old Manuel Avila Salazar.

Investigators say Rodriguez was driving a 2006 Chrysler Sebring when she collided with a construction truck early Monday morning along Millerton Road and Winchell Cove Road.

Salazar was behind the wheel of the Ford F-350 truck. His passenger was hospitalized and is expected to survive. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
