FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno police are trying to track down a pair of burglars who broke into a mini mart early this morning and hauled away an ATM. The burglars broke the windows and damaged the frame ripping off the cash machine. It's unclear how much money was in the ATM, but, at least one person witnessed the crime.

An hour and a half after Yosemite Market closed for business at 1:00 a.m. Monday, thieves pulled up in a tan Chevy Silverado. Surveillance cameras caught the four-minute long crime as it happened and the last few seconds of the break-in were also witnessed by a passerby. "He was driving on the road, but when he saw something going on, he backed up and came, and by the time he was here they were already gone," said Neena Shergill, store owner.

Detectives believe the thieves knew the layout of the store and were fully prepared to pull the machine from the bolts that were drilled into the floor-- much like a safe. After watching the video, police found out the license plates on the truck have been switched. "The first digits are seven, D, as in David, N, as in Nora. But, that's not going to be the proper plate, because that's for a car. So, it's either a stolen truck, which most likely it's a stolen truck and they put a cold plate on it. Or it's their vehicle, but surprisingly damaged their vehicle," said Lt. Joe Gomez, Fresno Police Department.

The suspects are both wearing hooded sweatshirts and white gloves. It's hard to see their faces, so officers are working to enhance the video. Detectives said based on the burglars behavior, they seem to have experience. "They appeared to know what they are doing. They were relatively quick-- they didn't waste any time," said Gomez.

The damage caused by the crime is, at least, several thousand dollars-- not including the rented ATM machine or the money inside of it. The metal frame and large glass windows were all destroyed and will need to be replaced.

The truck does have damage to the left rear bumper and left tail light and left eastbound toward Clovis.
