FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Firefighters were busy Friday night with a fire that broke out in northwest Fresno just after 7 p.m.
The fire forced the closure of Shaw near Bryan Avenues for several hours. Smoke from the burning abandoned auto parts store could be seen all the way from Downtown Fresno.
Initially about 14 rigs were called out to the scene because of concerns of how stable the building was. Firefighters used an aerial ladder to douse the flames.
Neighbors complained about homeless people around the area.
So far, the cause is under investigation.
