Body found in canal identified
FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The body found in the California Aqueduct near Interstate 5 and Nees Avenue near Firebaugh has been identified. Detectives are now searching for a person of interest.
The Fresno County Sheriff's Office says the victim is 20-year-old Megan Troen of Tracy. Her family says she went out with an acquaintance on July 20th and never came back.
"Detectives would really like to talk with him because he was the last person to see Megan. And we just wanna know if he has any idea what happened. We really wanna get to the bottom of this," said Tony Botti, Fresno County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies are searching for 21-year-old Kaleo Schreiner. He was last seen about two weeks ago. He drives a 2001 black Lexus and is known to frequent many different places across the state.
