FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a body found in a canal near Biola.
Two farm workers came across the victim while working near Barstow and Floyd Avenues Thursday afternoon. Deputies have not determined if there is foul play involved, but homicide detectives were at the scene gathering evidence.
Deputies say they have not yet identified the body, but it appears to be a middle-aged Hispanic male.
"Hopefully by people seeing this story, once we can get the name out to the public, maybe somebody out there will realize it's their friend of family member that they are missing
the body has been taken to the coroner's office," Tony Botti with the Fresno County Sheriff's Office said.
Deputies say they don't have any missing persons that match with this description.
