Brush fire breaks out above Auberry

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fire crews plan to be on the scene of a brush fire in Fresno County for the remainder of the day.

The fire started around 8 a.m. Tuesday next to Powerhouse Road, above Auberry. The fire is between 6 and 10 acres in size, and is currently 50 percent contained. No homes are threatened, and nobody has been injured.

Firefighters tell Action News they expect to have it fully contained in the next few hours. There is no word on the cause of the fire.
