FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Fresno County home is badly damaged after a fire tore through the house Sunday afternoon. Fresno County Fire officials say the fire started in a car under a car port around 1 p.m. The flames quickly spread to the house near Nees and Leonard avenues.
Crews were able to put out the blaze, but not before it damaged about 25 percent of the home. Luckily, no one was home at the time, and firefighters were able to save most of the items inside. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
