FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The California Highway Patrol is investigating after two people were killed in a fiery car crash in Porterville. The accident happened just before 9:30 p.m. Friday on Highway 65 near Olive Avenue.
The CHP says a white Saturn sedan was traveling northbound on the highway, when it served to the right for an unknown reason and went off the road and down an embankment. The car struck a tree, overturned and caught fire.
Officers say they have confirmed two fatalities and are trying to see if any other people were in the car. They say dental records will likely need to be used to identify the victims.
