FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Fresno firefighter is recovering after being injured while working a late night blaze in Southwest Fresno.
Firefighters responded to a fire at Fresno Street and Waterman Avenue just after 10 p.m. Monday night. They found an abandoned building on fire.
Fire crews were able to knock down the blaze quickly, but one firefighter was hurt when he tripped over a hose and injured his elbow.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Neighbors say the building was vacant, but squatters had been seen living inside.
