Hanford teen dies in hit-and-run crash, suspect arrested
The CHP says Jimmie Lee Love III is facing multiple charges including felony hit-and-run, vehicular manslaughter, child endangerment and being an unlicensed driver.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The California Highway Patrol has arrested Jimmie Lee Love III. They said he ran from an accident early Thursday morning in Kings County. A 13-year-old died as a result of the crash.

It happened in Hanford, near 9 1/4 Avenue and Myrtle Street. The CHP said a car was speeding and lost control hitting a power pole. 13-year-old, Adam Aviles, died after being flown to Community Regional Medical Center. His mother came to the crash site and shared this message for the driver.

Vicenta Aviles said, "For the person responsible out there for my son, I forgive you I forgive you, with all my heart I forgive you - there's consequence for the good and the bad and you'll get your consequence."

Officers said you can see Love on surveillance video before the accident. He's now facing multiple charges including felony hit-and-run, vehicular manslaughter, and child endangerment along with being an unlicensed driver.

Another teen was also badly hurt and flown to Community Regional Medical Center. A 20-year-old passenger was also injured.
