Homicide suspect escapes Fresno Police custody
Officers located Haqq and arrested him Friday night, however, after fighting with detectives at police headquarters, he managed to escape.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man suspected of a deadly shooting in Fresno this week escaped while in police custody.

Ibn Lugman Haqq, 21, is the primary suspect in the murder of a 41-year-old man on Wednesday near Walnut and Jensen Avenues. Officers located Haqq and arrested him Friday night, however, after fighting with detectives at police headquarters, he managed to escape.

Officers searched the area for Haqq for several hours but could not locate him.

Haqq is considered armed and dangerous, and anyone with information on his location is asked to contact the Fresno Police Department at 621-2446 or 621-2445.

Police say no officers were seriously hurt during the fight.
