Madera County head-on crash leaves Fresno man dead

MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- An investigation is underway following a crash that killed a Fresno man in Madera County.

The head-on collision happened on Highway 145 near Highway 41 Sunday afternoon. The California Highway Patrol says Caleb Koop, 25, was heading west when he drifted into the eastbound lane and hit a truck that was hauling a boat.

Koop was killed, and two people in the truck were taken to the hospital. Their conditions have not been released.
