Man dies in east-central Fresno car crash

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- One person is dead after a car accident in east-central Fresno.

Fresno Police said two men were inside when the driver had a medical emergency and lost control of the vehicle near Fowler and Dakota Avenue. The car drifted over the median went through the shrubs then rolled over into a frontage road.

The man in his 50s was thrown from the car and died from his injuries. The passenger in his 20s was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Investigators said the two men were family members and, so far, alcohol is not believed to be a factor.

The cause is under investigation.
