Man shot and killed inside SUV in Southeast Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead in Southeast Fresno. The shooting happened near the Maple Grove Apartments at Maple and Florence around 9 p.m. on Monday.

Police arrived and found a man who had been shot inside a black SUV. Crews pulled him from the car and performed CPR but it was too late. Investigators say the man was shot several times and the SUV was covered in bullet holes.

Both directions of Maple are closed as police continue their investigation.

The only information about a suspect right now is they were possibly driving a dark sedan.
