One dead after car collides with RV on Highway 41

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A head-on crash on Highway 41 left a man dead Saturday, the California Highway Patrol said.

The crash happened at Jackson Avenue, south of Lemoore, when authorities said a Honda Civic was heading south when the driver veered into the opposite lane. The Honda collided with an RV just before 6 p.m.

The driver of the Honda was taken to the hospital and later died, authorities said.

The CHP closed both lanes of the highway for several hours and redirected traffic while investigators looked into how the crash happened.
