REEDLEY, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Reedley man is telling his story now that all of the suspects in his kidnapping are behind bars.

The kidnappers forced their way into Ramon Lemos' apartment in Reedley on Wednesday. He was beaten up, tied up and dragged into a waiting car. A neighbor witnessed the abduction and called police.

Reedley detectives learned one of the abductors, a woman, had been a former roommate of Lemos. Police identified her as Alma Alcantar.

Within eight hours, they had tracked her and her associates down and discovered Lemos locked up under armed guard in a shed behind a house in a rural Tulare County location.

Lemos told us Alcantar accused him of stealing a piece of jewelry. He told Action News her male companions were about to cut off his fingers and toes with pruning shears in retribution when police arrived. He described eight hours of hell.

Police arrested Alcantar, along with Lucio Flores Jr. and Lucio Flores Sr., at the scene. They arrested a fourth suspect, Ismael Flores, on Friday. All are charged with home invasion, kidnapping, robbery and false imprisonment. They are being held in the Fresno County Jail.

Lemos was treated for bruises and abrasions at a local hospital. He told us he was happy to be alive and thanked Reedley police for his rescue.

Police credit the witness who called them with possibly saving Lemos' life.
