Teen drowns at Hensley Lake in Madera County

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A teenager is dead Saturday after drowning at Hensley Lake in Madera County.

Sheriff's deputies say the male teen disappeared under the water around 10 a.m. in the Hidden View campground part of the lake.

He was about 10 feet from the shore when the boy's body was found about an hour later and pronounced dead at the scene.

The circumstances of the drowning are unknown and the victim's identity has yet to be released.
