Woman struck by hit-and-run driver in Central Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A woman is recovering in the hospital after being hit by a car near Manchester Center.

The collision happened just before 6 p.m. Monday near Dakota Avenue and Abby Street in Central Fresno. Witnesses say a gold sedan hit the woman and then took off. Police are now searching for the suspect.

The woman was last listed in critical condition at Community Regional Medical Center.
