Woman found dead in car on Tollhouse Road identified

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Fresno County Sheriff's Office is investigating the questionable death of 44-year-old Kirsten Dolenec of Clovis.

Dolenec's body was discovered in a car parked along Tollhouse Road northeast of Fresno. Sheriff's investigators are trying to figure out how the she died. Residents in the area noticed the car by the side of the road early Wednesday morning.

Tony Botti with the Fresno County Sheriff's Office explained, "They said they noticed a woman who did not look like she was well inside of a parked car on the side of the road."

Deputies arrived and discovered the Dolenec was dead. Investigators spent several hours at the scene.

Botti added, "They are treating this as being a questionable death, the reasons for that, being, number one, where she was parked, number two, the position she was in inside the car and number three her age."

An autopsy is being conducted to determine the cause of death. Botti said, "We are not going to call it a homicide right now just call it a questionable death."
