KNIGHTS LANDING, Calif. -- Yolo County prosecutors are changing course, and will charge a Woodland woman with murder in the death of her infant son.

Authorities arrested 23-year old Samantha Lee Green days after searchers found the body of her 20-day-old son in a slough near Knights Landing.

She was charged with involuntary manslaughter last week, but prosecutors have decided to upgrade the charges.

Green and the baby were reported missing on Feb. 23. She was found the next day, seemingly distraught and bruised, screaming for help.

Autopsy results suggested the baby drowned or died from hypothermia.
