Central California SPCA offering discounted vaccines

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- It's important to get our pets vaccinated. Now, a local animal shelter is doing its part to help you do that.

The Central California SPCA has reduced the prices of its vaccinations. It offers three: a vaccine for rabies, parvo, and one for respiratory problems. The discount ranges from 9 to 37 percent. Organizers say with $10 vaccines, there's no excuse for not bringing in your dog or cat.

"It's important to vaccinate our dogs and cats, particularly against certain diseases, because there are animal viruses and diseases that can be contagious to humans as well as other animals," said Thalia Arenas, a humane educator with the SPCA.

The vaccinations are available by appointment, Monday through Friday. Walk-in appointments are accepted on Saturdays.
