Celebrity chef Brian Duffy visits Children's Hospital

MADERA, Calif. (KFSN) -- There were plenty of sweet treats Friday at Children's Hospital in Madera.

Young patients received a visit from celebrity chef Brian Duffy. You may have seen him on Spike TV or various TV cooking shows. Duffy helped kids decorate cupcakes and other treats in the hospital's classroom.

He's also in the Valley to help prepare lunch for Saturday's Rumble to the Peak. The annual motorcycle event includes more than 1,000 riders this year, and the proceeds benefit Children's Hospital Central California.

"As a chef we have opportunities to feed people all the time," said Duffy. "I love kids. I have two little girls myself at home. This was just a huge thing for me because I love kids. I love talking to them and they're so -- everything is new to them."

Rumble to the Peak begins at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Selma Auto Mall. The event ends at China Peak Mountain Resort in Lakeshore, on Highway 168.
