LA Clippers guard Avery Bradley underwent surgery to repair adductor and rectus abdominis muscles on Tuesday and will likely miss the rest of the regular season.

Six to eight weeks is the recovery time for the surgery, which means the Clippers would need to make the postseason for Bradley to have a chance to return this season.

The Clippers are 36-29 and holding on to the seventh seed.

Bradley, who'll be an unrestricted free agent this summer, has been out since the February All-Star break for the Clippers, and has played only six games since he left Detroit as part of the Blake Griffin deal on Jan. 29. Bradley averaged 15 points in 40 games for the Pistons this season.

Boston traded him to Detroit in July, needing to clear salary-cap space to sign free agent Gordon Hayward.
