When the clock struck zero during the Golden State Warriors' Game 4 loss against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday, it went from a rough night to an unforgettable night for Warriors fan Ryan Hagerty.

Not only were the Warriors unable to finish off the NBA Finals sweep, but Hagerty now had to live with the memory inked on his arm forever.

After losing a bet to his friends, Hagerty paid up by getting aRichard Jefferson-inspired tattoo.

According to the Bay Area News Group, Hagerty was watching the game with friends. When the former Oakland resident began making fun of Jefferson's tattoo, things took a funny turn.

"Around the fourth quarter, after a few more cocktails, we made a bet that if the Warriors came back (down 115-96 at the start of the fourth [quarter]) and won, I'd get $1,000," he said. "If they didn't win I would get that Richard Jefferson tattoo."

Of course, the Warriors weren't able to pull off the comeback and lost 137-116, which meant Hagerty was getting the new ink on his arm.

"I wasn't devastated I lost because I thought it was funny at the time," he added. "I might need to stay away from betting."

Luckily, Golden State finished off the series in Game 5, but it might be best if Hagerty stays away from such big gambles in the near future.
