Angels recall C.J. Cron

NEW YORK -- The Los Angeles Angels have recalled first baseman C.J. Cron from Salt Lake of the Pacific Coast League and optioned left-hander Edgar Ibarra to the Triple-A club.

Cron was the designated hitter in Saturday night's game against the New York Yankees, batting seventh.

Ibarra threw 47 pitches in Friday's series opener, an 8-7 Angels' loss.
