EL SEGUNDO, Calif. -- An MRI confirmed that Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball has a left knee contusion.
The Lakers had their rookie point guard undergo an MRI for precautionary reasons on Thursday after Ball got kneed in the back of his left leg during the third quarter of Wednesday night's win over the Dallas Mavericks.
The Lakers say Ball is considered questionable for Friday night's game against Milwaukee.
"He was in the training room getting treatment this morning so he feels better," Lakers coach Luke Walton said.
Ball missed 15 consecutive games earlier this season with a sprained MCL in his left knee, but the rookie said this latest injury isn't a major concern.
"It wasn't in the spot that I previously hurt that caused me to miss a lot of games so I wasn't too worried about it," Ball said. "It's just kind of like a bruise. It just hurts but I should be back soon."
