LOS ANGELES -- Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins left late in the second quarter of Saturday's 114-109 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers with a sore right Achilles tendon. He is considered day-to-day.

Cousins did not return after halftime. The injury was being iced during the second half, when Cousins was not on the Sacramento bench.

He played 15 minutes in the first half, scoring 13 points and grabbing nine rebounds.

Kosta Koufos replaced Cousins in the lineup to start the second half.

During the first week of the season, Cousins has led the Kings in both points and rebounds. Coming into action on Saturday, he ranked fifth in the league in both scoring (26.5 points) and rebounding (12.0) in Sacramento's first two games.
