MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A leak in the arena bowl Saturday at FedEx Forum forced the Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors to adjust their gameday preparation for their playoff series.
A Grizzlies team official confirmed that engineers were addressing a leak that left water near the visiting team's bench.
The leak was expected to be fixed in the arena well before the 7 p.m. local start time of Game 3 of the teams' Western Conference semifinal series, Grizzlies officials said.
The Grizzlies were forced to hold their morning shootaround at their practice facility, which is connected to the arena. The Warriors decided to stay in the arena for their shootaround as arena crew worked to clean the leak off to the side of the court.
Rain in the region most of the morning contributed to the cause of the leak.
The Grizzlies and Warriors split the first two games of the best-of-7 series, with the next two games to be played in Memphis.
