MIAMI -- Lakers forward Larry Nance Jr. will be sidelined indefinitely because of a bone bruise in his left knee, which an MRI exam revealed Wednesday in Miami, the team announced.

However, further results of the exam were inconclusive due to swelling in the knee, so Nance will be re-examined Sunday in Los Angeles by team physician Dr. David McAllister of UCLA Health.

Nance, a first-round draft pick in 2015 out ofWyoming, suffered the injury during the second half of Tuesday's loss inCharlotte.

He is averaging 7 points and 5.5 rebounds per game off the bench.

The Lakers (11-20) have lost 10 of 11 and face the Heat on Thursday.
