LeSean McCoy says of Chip Kelly: 'I don't hate him. It's nothing like that'

Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy downplayed any friction with Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly in interviews with Philadelphia-based reporters in advance of McCoy's return Sunday to Lincoln Financial Field.

"I don't have no issue with him," McCoy told The Philadelphia Inquirer in a story published Tuesday. "There's no problem. I don't hate him. It's nothing like that."

McCoy later added, "We ain't like best friends or that, but we're no enemies."

The star running back stood by a comment to ESPN The Magazine in an interview published in May that Kelly "got rid of all the black players" on the Eagles.

"I'm not gonna change anything I said," McCoy told 94WIP radio in Philadelphia on Tuesday. "I stand by everything I said before. And I don't have no problems with Chip, no hatred. Nothing at all. Everything I said, I stand by it. I don't take it back.

"One thing about myself, I would never take back nothing I say. I have my own reasons to feel how I felt. I think it's the difference between me and other players -- [that] other players will only say how they feel. I'm different. I'll speak how I feel, but I really don't want to relive that."

Bills running back Boobie Dixon said that McCoy arrived at the Bills' facility Tuesday "full of juice, full of energy" and that McCoy told teammates, "I need you this week."

McCoy is scheduled to speak to Buffalo-based reporters at his regularly scheduled Wednesday news conference.
