Marquise Goodwin's message to a young fan: 'Just know that you've got a lot of people that love you'

It's not every day that we get to meet our heroes, the people we admire from afar. But on Aug. 18, San Francisco 49ers fanAustin DeMello got to have a one-on-one conversation with 49ers wide receiver Marquise Goodwin, and it's a conversation DeMello is unlikely to forget.

A group of 49ers players were participating in a meet-and-greet at Levi's Stadium as part of a Make-A-Wish Foundation event. DeMello can be seen in the video telling Goodwin that he has a headache, to which Goodwin responds with an incredibly thoughtful message of encouragement.

"Just make the most of it, smile as much as you can, have fun and enjoy it," Goodwin says. "Just know that you have a lot of people who love and care about you -- including the 49ers."

Goodwin promised DeMello that he'd be all right so long as he remembered that the team he loves, loves him back.
