Ole Miss cornerback Tee Shepard will miss the first half of next week's game against Alabamaafter he was ejected for targeting during Saturday's game againstFresno State.

Shepard, a native of Fresno, California, was ejected in the third quarter after his hit on redshirt freshman wide receiver Keyan Williams. By NCAA rules, Shepard must sit out the first half of his team's next game.

Shepard missed the 2014 season after tearing a tendon in his toe before returning for the Grove Bowl. He came in as a reserve last weekend in Ole Miss' season-opening 76-3 drubbing of UT-Martin and recorded one tackle.
