Tigres striker Andre-Pierre Gignac will not be going MLS this summer, following rumors he had traveled to the United States to start negotiations with the LA Galaxy.
The Liga MX club's president said the French striker was in California to visit Disneyland with his family.
"He went to visit Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck with his family," said Tigres president Alejandro Rodriguez on Wednesday.
Gignac left Mexico at the end of the Clausura 2017 under a cloud after Tigres lost the Liga MX final to Chivas. The former Marseille striker was accused of bad sportsmanship for refusing to participate in the medal ceremony.
Rumors then began about Gignac seeking a move away from Mexico, but the Tigres president denied formal talks.
"[The press] keeps talking," said Rodriguez. "We are flattered by all the teams interested in our players."
"For the fans and you are relaxed, we have not received any approach or anything for Gignac," he added. "We've had nothing official from MLS."
On his travels, Gignac bumped into Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, another player at the middle of transfer rumors.
