San Diego Padres outfielder Wil Myers will begin a rehab assignment Thursday with Triple-A El Paso, the team said.
Myers has been out since late April with a strained left oblique. Before that, he missed two weeks with nerve irritation in his right arm.
Overall, he's batting .300 (12-for-40) with one home runs and three RBIs in just 10 games this season.
Also Thursday, outfielder Franchy Cordero (forearm) will start a rehab assignment at El Paso, and LHP Joey Lucchesi (strained hip) will make a rehab start for Class-A Lake Elsinore.
