Did Yu Darvish jinx it?

Perhaps the right-handed ace thought he was staying put with the Texas Rangers, as no news of a trade had emerged when Darvish sent out this selfie at 3:50 p.m. ET:

Like Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlanderhad done minutes earlier, Darvish showed himself standing at his undisturbed locker to indicate that he had not yet been dealt as the deadline inched closer.

Alas, the status quo changed in a heartbeat, and the Los Angeles Dodgers shipped three prospects to the Rangers for the righty before the clock struck 4 p.m.
