EXCLUSIVE: Interview with Mary Sumner

The Toledo man accused of killing Cindy Sumner faced a judge today. El-hadi Robbins pleaded "not guilty" to two counts of murder. His trial is set for May.

Robbins' previous criminal record includes charges of domestic violence, assault, and sexually-related charges.

Sumner's family says Cindy knew Robbins, but they had no idea he was a registered sex offender.

The Cindy Sumner tragedy began August 6, when she was reported missing. More than a month later, her body was found in an abandoned warehouse.

Today, Diane Larson sat down with Cindy's mother who says she has her good days. Mary was in court today when her daughter's accused killer was arraigned. In her words, it was horrifying.

Mary tells us her days are often surreal and talking about Cindy sometimes helps. Mary plans to be in court for every step of the process.

You may recall that Cindy Sumner had muscular dystrophy. Diane and Lee Conklin have know Mary for some 20 years through their work with the Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon.
