The 1920s came roaring into Central Fresno on Saturday night.

Fresno City College hosted a "Great Gatsby" speakeasy. Guests were invited to wear costumes and even needed a password to get in the door.

Action News traffic reporter Gaby Rodriguez dressed up for her role as emcee.

This is one of several Big Read events taking part this month and through early April. We're teaming up with the Fresno County Public Library to encourage everyone to read "The Great Gatsby" by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

ABC30 was a proud sponsor of Saturday's event.
