FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Over the last week, multiple wildfires have broken out throughout Central California.

Crews from across the country have joined the fights in counties such as Fresno, Tuolumne, Mariposa and Madera.

A mixture of high winds, thunderstorms and lightning in the Valley has made the efforts to control the fires even more difficult.

New evacuation warnings issued for Garnet Fire in Fresno County

New evacuation warnings have been issued for the Garnet Fire in Fresno County.

The impacted areas include Zones K165, K26, K60, K61B and K76.

As of Monday Morning, the Garnet Fire has charred nearly 50,000 acres with 14% containment.

China Peak being used as base camp for Garnet Fire

China Peak Mountain Resort is now being used as a base camp for the Garnet Fire burning in Fresno County.

Tim Cohee confirmed that China Peak is being used for those firefighters who had to evacuate from Dinkey Creek.

As of Monday morning, the Garnet Fire has burned over 49,000 acres with 14% containment.
