An investigation into a domestic violence incident involving Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie in Utah back in August is now complete.
A Utah county sheriff said Friday detectives have determined there is no connection between the disappearance of a Florida woman who went missing during a cross-country trip with her boyfriend and a still-unsolved slaying of two women who were fatally shot.
Police say his family believes he entered the area earlier this week after leaving home with a backpack on Tuesday.
Brian Laundrie's attorney says Brian is missing and the FBI is now trying to locate both him and Gabby Petito.
"She's like a sister and my children love her, and all I want is for her to come home safe and found and this to be just a big misunderstanding."
