6th annual Citywide Cleanup Day hosted with over 1,000 Fresno volunteers

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Over 1,000 volunteers helped keep Fresno clean this weekend.

Mayor Jerry Dyer hosted the 6th annual Citywide Community Cleanup Day on Saturday cleaning over 60 locations.

Volunteers picked up trash around Fresno from Manchester Center to Ashlan and West.

Local officials, like Brandon Vang participated in this event helping the community.

Vang represents District 5 says this this day brings the community together for a good cause.

''Fresno is a great place to live, and to make it a better place to live thanks to the volunteers for making it a cleaner city'' said Vang.

After the volunteer crew held an After Party celebration at Manchester Center ending the morning with food and a big "thank you".
